On failure

“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall.”
- Confucius

For today’s entry, I’d like to bring up a visual:

I found this as a perfect metaphor for my current predicament. A spider giving everything he can just to ultimately fail nevertheless. My biggest fear is to end up just like him. Because what if all my effort, time, and pain will be to no avail? What if it won’t be enough to achieve my goal?

But does it matter? Should I just give up before the possibility of failing? No!
I should keep on giving everything as if failure didn’t exist, as if I knew I will succeed because in the end, it could be just enough to accomplish what I wanted.

I believe that no failure is ultimate. Failure is only a delay, an obstacle between you and your goal, given that you have time.

Dum spiro spero (While I breathe, I hope) :]
